No. 944 OF 2005 C\n                 ````````````````````````````````````````````````````\n                Dated this the 10th day of August, 2007\n\n                                   O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>             The    revision     petitioner,     who      was     the accused in<\/p>\n<p>C.C.No.314\/2000 on the file of the JFCM-V, Thiruvananthapuram for an<\/p>\n<p>offence punishable under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act,<\/p>\n<p>1881, challenges the conviction entered and the sentence passed<\/p>\n<p>against him concurrently by the trial court for the said offence.<\/p>\n<p>      2.     Pending this revision, the parties have settled the matter<\/p>\n<p>and have filed Crl.M.A.No.8724\/2007 under section 147 of the Act for<\/p>\n<p>recording the composition entered into by them. The said petition has<\/p>\n<p>been signed by both the revision petitioner as well as the complainant<\/p>\n<p>and their respective counsels. The composition is recorded and it will<\/p>\n<p>have the effect of an acquittal within the meaning of section 320(8)<\/p>\n<p>Cr.P.C. Money, if any, paid by the revision petitioner pursuant to orders,<\/p>\n<p>if any, passed by the lower appellate court shall be refunded to the<\/p>\n<p>revision petitioner.\n<\/p>\n<p>      This revision petition is disposed of as above.<\/p>\n<p>                                                       (V.
