Wadhwa, J. (President)<\/p>\n<p>1. It is opposite party postal department who is the petitioner before us. Complaint was that postal article sent by the respondent\/complainant for an interview for appointment as a House Surgeon was delayed with the result that he &#8216; could not attend the interview. The complaint was on account of delay of the postal articles. District Forum allowed the complaint and directed payment of compensation of Rs. 2,000\/- and Rs. 500\/- as costs. On appeal, the State Commission dismissed the appeal and affirmed the order of the District Forum.\n<\/p>\n<p>2. Our attention has been drawn to the judgment of this Commission in the case of Head Post Master, Post Office, Railway Road, Kurukshetra, Haryana v. Vijay Ratan Aggarwal, R.P. Nos. 15 of 1997, 1006 of 2001 and 1035 of 2002 dated 18.9.2002 where we have held that the petitioner would not be liable under Section 6 of the Post Office Act. In the circumstances, we would have allowed the petition as well. But, we find that the amount involved is too small for us to issue notice. Law point has already been settled.
