There are a large number of people who are now coming back from UAE and other Gulf countries. It is because of two reasons. One is that because of Arabisation of major departments in Arab countries, thousands of people are being thrown out of their jobs. Second, the job opportunities in the Middle East are coming down. Thousands of people &#8212; more than 50,000 people &#8212; have got \u2018exit passes\u2019 because of the general amnesty declared by the UAE Government. <\/p>\n<p>MR. CHAIRMAN: Please conclude now. It is the duty of the Central Government to rehabilitate these workers. The people who are coming back from these Gulf countries are all low-paid workers. The Department of NORKA, Government of Kerala, has already started some schemes. The External Affairs Ministry should come forward to help those people so that they can be rehabilitated in various departments and institutions in different parts of the country.\n<\/p>\n<p>I request the Central Government to take appropriate steps so that these people can be rehabilitated properly in various parts of the country.
