The PIO had refused<br \/>\nto disclose information in terms of Section 8 of the RTI Act vide letter dt.25.3.08.<br \/>\nThe Appellate Authority had upheld the decision of the PIO vide order dt.2.5.08 in<br \/>\nterms of clause (g) of Section 8(1) of RTI Act on the ground that disclosure of this<br \/>\ninformation would identify the source of information given in confidence for law<br \/>\nenforcement and security purposes.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.    The matter was fixed for hearing on 9.7.2009. The appellant is not present.<br \/>\nThe public authority is represented by the officer named above. On a thoughtful<br \/>\nconsideration of the matter, I find no infirmity in the orders passed by the PIO and<br \/>\nAA<\/p>\n<p>                                       DECISION\n<\/p>\n<p>3.
