Manish Kumar, Punjab\n\n        Name of the Public Authority         : Delhi Police, Crime (Women) Cell\n\nBackground<\/pre>\n<p>       Vide application dated 14.08.2008 under the provisions of the RTI Act. 2005, the<br \/>\nappellant sought information on 9 points regarding a Dowry harassment complaint filed by his<br \/>\nwife Smt. Pratibha in the CAW Cell, Nanak Pura. Vide letter dated 3.09.2008, Sh. H. P. S.<br \/>\nVirk, PIO (DCP) Crime, Women Cell, Nanak Pura, replied to the RTI application. Dissatisfied<br \/>\nwith the reply the appellant filed an appeal before the First Appellate Authority. The First<br \/>\nAppellate Authority upheld the decision of the CPIO. The appellant has now filed a second<br \/>\nappeal before the Commission<\/p>\n<p>   2.      The matter was heard on 19.11.2009\n<\/p>\n<p>   3.      The appellant was not present for the hearing.\n<\/p>\n<p>   4.      Sh. H. P. S. Virk, DCP (CAW Cell)-cum-CPIO, Sh. Dinesh Sharma,<br \/>\n           Inspector\/CAW Cell and Sh. Ashok Kumar, ASI\/CAW Cell represented the<br \/>\n           respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>   5.      In the absence of the appellant, after examining the RTI application and the reply of<br \/>\n           the CPIO, the Commission finds that, in effect, the appellant wanted to know<br \/>\n           whether a list of Dowry articles was provided by his wife to the police and matters<br \/>\n           connected herewith.
