Lakshmanan, GM &amp; PIO\n\n                                      DECISION\n\n      While deciding this appeal by a decision in Appeal No. 2541\/ICPB\/2008 dated\n29.7.2008, a show-cause notice was also issued under section 20(1) of the Act. The\nmatter is now for consideration on the reply dated 16.8.2008 received from the PIO to\nthe show-cause notice. I have gone through the reply provided by the CPIO.\n\n2.    I have gone through the submission made by the PIO. I still hold Branch\nManager responsible for not providing prompt reply to the applicant. Neither the Branch\nManager nor the PIO could justify their action in their comments. Therefore I direct the\nCPIO to pay the compensation to the applicant immediately which should have been\npaid immediately after the receipt of Commission's decision dated 29.7.2008. The\nBranch Manager has been given time only for submission of his explanation.
