Justice V.GIRI\n\n Dated :19\/06\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                          V.GIRI, J.\n           -------------------------\n                  W.P.(C).No.18203 of 2008 P\n           -------------------------\n         Dated this the 19th day of June, 2008.\n\n                       JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>          All the petitioners herein are working as Junior<\/p>\n<p>Public Health Nurses Grade-I in Thrissur District. They have<\/p>\n<p>a common grievance, inasmuch as that, they belong to<\/p>\n<p>Districts other than Thrissur and they are entitled to get<\/p>\n<p>inter-district transfers to their native districts. Though they<\/p>\n<p>have submitted representations in this regard, as evidenced<\/p>\n<p>by Exts.P1 to P7, their apprehension is that their applications<\/p>\n<p>for transfer may be ignored in the course of General Transfer,<\/p>\n<p>2008.\n<\/p>\n<p>          2. I have gone through the writ petition and I am<\/p>\n<p>satisfied that if the statements made in the writ petition, as<\/p>\n<p>regards the personal reasons which prompt the petitioners to<\/p>\n<p>seek a transfer, are factually correct, then sincere efforts may<\/p>\n<p>be taken, by the Director of Health Services, to accommodate<\/p>\n<p>the petitioners in their native districts. This is especially so<\/p>\n<p>in the case of petitioners 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7. I also take note of<\/p>\n<p>the fact that the petitioners have completed 5 years in<\/p>\n<p>Thrissur District and therefore, relaxation of the 5 year rule,<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C).NO.18203\/08<\/p>\n<p>                             :: 2 ::\n<\/p>\n<p>\nat the hands of the Government, may not be required in<\/p>\n<p>their case.\n<\/p>\n<p>          3. In the result, the writ petition is disposed of<\/p>\n<p>directing the 1st respondent to specifically consider the<\/p>\n<p>requests made in Ext.P1 to P7, in the course of General<\/p>\n<p>Transfer of 2008. If there is any reason for the petitioners&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>request not being accepted, the 1st respondent shall give<\/p>\n<p>them notice and an opportunity of hearing before a<\/p>\n<p>decision is taken on Exts.P1 to P7.<\/p>\n<p>          The petitioners shall produce a copy of this<\/p>\n<p>judgment along with a copy of the writ petition before the<\/p>\n<p>1st respondent for compliance.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                 Sd\/-\n<\/p>\n<p>                                             (V.GIRI)<br \/>\n                                               JUDGE<br \/>\nsk\/<\/p>\n<p>             \/\/true copy\/\/<\/p>\n<p>                  P.S.
