Respondents\n\nPRAYER\n\nWrit petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India,\npraying to issue a writ of mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to conduct\nproper enquiry on the basis of representation dated 06.12.2008 and pass\nappropriate order to the effect that by prohibiting Kattapanchayat and\nexcommunication prevailing in the locality and the petitioner and his family\nmembers are to be allowed to participate into the Temple Festival.\n\n!For Petitioner\t... Mr.G.Karnan\n^For Respondents... Mr.D.Sasikumar\n\t\t    Government Advocate\n\n\t\t\t\t\t  * * * *\t\n\n:ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tThis writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to<br \/>\nconduct proper enquiry on the basis of representation dated 06.12.2008 and pass<br \/>\nappropriate orders to the effect that by prohibiting Kattapanchayat and<br \/>\nexcommunication prevailing in the locality and the petitioner and his family<br \/>\nmembers are to be allowed to participate into the Temple Festival.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also Mr.D.Sasikumar,<br \/>\nlearned Government Advocate, who took notice on behalf of the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. The grievance of the petitioner as aired by the learned counsel for the<br \/>\npetitioner placing reliance on the averments in the affidavit accompanying the<br \/>\nwrit petition, is to the effect that the petitioner and his family members were<br \/>\nex-communicated by a group of people; thereupon he made representation to the<br \/>\nrespondents; but there is no response. Hence, this writ petition.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. Heard the learned Government Advocate.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t5. Hence, in these circumstances, the following direction is issued:<br \/>\n\tOn receipt of a copy of this order, the petitioner shall appear before the<br \/>\nsecond respondent viz., the Superintendent of Police, Trichy District and air<br \/>\nthe grievance and thereupon the second respondent shall call for the group of<br \/>\npersons, who are allegedly ex-communicating the petitioner and his family<br \/>\nmembers and thereupon the second respondent shall see that the matter is<br \/>\namicably settled within a week.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
