NO.  1528 OF 2007\n\n                =================================\n\n                    Dated this the 9th day of April 2007\n\n\n\n\n                                     O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The   revision   petitioner   stands   convicted   for   the   offence   under<\/p>\n<p>Section   138   of   the   Negotiable   Instruments   Act   and   sentenced,   as<\/p>\n<p>modified   by   the   appellate   court,   to   undergo   simple   imprisonment   for<\/p>\n<p>one month and to pay a compensation of Rs.20,000\/- vide Section 357<\/p>\n<p>(3) Cr.P.C and in default to undergo simple imprisonment for 30 days.<\/p>\n<p>      2.     The   counsel   for   the   revision   petitioner   has   only   sought   for<\/p>\n<p>modification   of   sentence   and   for   time   to   pay   the   amount   of<\/p>\n<p>compensation.     In   the   circumstances,   sentence   is   modified   to<\/p>\n<p>imprisonment till the rising of the court.   The rest of the sentence  is<\/p>\n<p>confirmed.   The revision petitioner is granted three months time from<\/p>\n<p>today   onwards   to   pay   the   amount   of   compensation.     The   revision<\/p>\n<p>petitioner   shall   appear   before   Judicial   First   Class   Magistrate,<\/p>\n<p>Kayamkulam on 10.07.2007 to receive sentence.<\/p>\n<p>      The Crl.R.P is disposed of accordingly.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                               K.R.
