No.12270  of 1998 (I)\n\n\n                       =======================\n\n\n\n\n\n                 Dated this the  14th  day of January, 2008\n\n\n\n\n\n                                JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p> This  original petition is filed seeking the following reliefs:<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;i) to issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate writ<\/p>\n<p>       order, or direction, directing the respondents to issue<\/p>\n<p>       marklist of the petitioner for the 2nd year Vocational<\/p>\n<p>       Higher Secondary Examination.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>ii)   to   issue   a   direction,   directing   the   2nd   and   3rd<\/p>\n<p>       respondents   to   issue   a   provisional   marklist   to   the<\/p>\n<p>       petitioner,   pending   final   disposal   of   the   Original<\/p>\n<p>       Petition.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>iii) to issue a writ of certiorari or other appropriate order<\/p>\n<p>       or direction, to quash the withholding of result of the<\/p>\n<p>       examination   to   the   extent   it   withhold   the   result   of<\/p>\n<p>       the petitioner.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>iv) to issue such other order or direction, as this Hon&#8217;ble<\/p>\n<p>       Court   deems   fit   and   proper   in   the   circumstances   of<\/p>\n<p>       this case including cost.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p> 2.       The   original   petition   was   filed   in   1998.     When   the<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\"> O.P.  No.12270\/1998\/I                     -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>matter was taken up, the counsel for the petitioner was absent.<\/p>\n<p>In the nature of the reliefs prayed for, I do not think that at this<\/p>\n<p>distance   of   time   the   grievance   of   the   petitioner       would   still<\/p>\n<p>subsist.
