Respondents  \n\n\n\tWrit Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing  the respondents, to restore the electricity service connection bearing S.C.No.134.05.05 provided in the Ground Floor of the premises bearing Old Door No.87, New Door No.133, Llyods Road now known as Avvai Shanmugham Road, Royapettah, Chennai-600 014.\n\n\n\n\tFor petitioner      : \tMr.A.C.Kumaragurubaran,\n\t\t\t\t\t \n\tFor respondents  : \tMr.A.Selvendran.\n\t\n  -----\n\nO R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tWrit Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing  the respondents, to restore the electricity service connection bearing S.C.No.134.05.05 provided in the Ground Floor of the premises bearing Old Door No.87, New Door No.133, Llyods Road now known as Avvai Shanmugham Road, Royapettah, Chennai-600 014.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the   respondents electricity board.   By consent of both the parties,  the writ petition is  taken up for final disposal.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. On 27.1.2011, the current consumption charges has been recorded in the meter card as Rs.2,58,143\/-.  Stating that it is erroneous and incorrect meter reading, petitioner has given a representation on 17.2.2011.  However,  copy of the acknowledgment of such representation has not been produced.  There is a telegram issued to the respondent authority stating that the petitioner is paying a sum of Rs.5,288\/- which is the sum paid for the previous month which has been refused by the respondent authority.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that the authority will look into the grievance of the petitioner and the petitioner may be directed to give fresh representation along with a copy of this order.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t5.  In view of the nature of grievance expressed, the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation along with a copy of this order  before the competent authority immediately.  On receipt of the  representation  along with a copy of this order, the authority shall consider the representation and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law either confirming or modifying the demand based on the merits of the petitioner&#8217;s claim.  Such exercise shall be completed within three days from the date of receipt of  the representation   along with a copy of this order.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t6. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above.  No costs.
