SIRI JAGAN, J.\n                  ------------------------------------\n                     W.P.(C)NO.22011 OF 2007\n                 --------------------------------------\n            DATED THIS THE 17th DAY OF JULY, 2007\n\n                              JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>       The petitioner is the holder of registration as a Nurse from the<\/p>\n<p>Karnataka State Nursing Council. The petitioner&#8217;s date of birth was<\/p>\n<p>wrongly enetered in the school records. The petitioner got the school<\/p>\n<p>records corrected in accordance with the rules applicable in the State<\/p>\n<p>of Kerala. Now the petitioner wants correction of date of birth in the<\/p>\n<p>register of Karnataka State Nursing Council and the registration<\/p>\n<p>certificate. This is rejected by the second respondent on the ground<\/p>\n<p>that they can do the same only if the petitioner gets the school records<\/p>\n<p>corrected in accordance with the procedure prescribed by the<\/p>\n<p>Government of Karnataka, which requires a court order.         I have in a<\/p>\n<p>batch of writ petitions held that the second respondent cannot insist on<\/p>\n<p>the same since the school is in Kerala and the school records can be<\/p>\n<p>corrected only in accordance with the rules applicable in the State of<\/p>\n<p>Kerala. In the above circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of<\/p>\n<p>with a direction to the second respondent to correct the date of birth of<\/p>\n<p>the petitioner in the register as well as in the registration certificate of<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(c)No.22011\/07                 2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within one<\/p>\n<p>month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.<\/p>\n<p>                                      S.
