Justice KURIAN JOSEPH\n\n Dated :04\/07\/2008\n\n O R D E R\n                         KURIAN JOSEPH, J.\n               ---------------------------------------\n                     W.P.(C) No. 36 OF 2006\n               ---------------------------------------\n              Dated this the 4th day of July, 2008.\n\n\n                           J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>     Petitioners approached this Court aggrieved by the refusal<\/p>\n<p>on the part of the second respondent in issuing caste certificate<\/p>\n<p>to the effect that they belong to Hindu-Pulaya. On 03.07.2007,<\/p>\n<p>this Court passed the following order:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>           &#8220;The petitioners now submit that petitioners 2 and 3<\/p>\n<p>           have completed their studies and they are in need of<\/p>\n<p>           community certificates for applying for jobs. Therefore,<\/p>\n<p>           they seek interim direction to the 2nd respondent to issue<\/p>\n<p>           community certificates to petitioners 2 and 3 showing<\/p>\n<p>           their community as &#8216;Hindu-pulaya&#8217;.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>                  The learned Government Pleader on the basis of a<\/p>\n<p>           report from the Village Officer as also letter from the<\/p>\n<p>           Kerala Pulaya Maha Sabha would submit that the<\/p>\n<p>           petitioners have ceased to be &#8216;Hindu-pulayas&#8217; as they<\/p>\n<p>           have embraced the pentecostal mission faith. However,<\/p>\n<p>           the learned Government Pleader is not able to satisfy me<\/p>\n<p>           that they have joined any other community other than<\/p>\n<p>           &#8216;Hindu-pulaya&#8217; without which the petitioners cannot be<\/p>\n<p>           denied   community     certificates   as   &#8216;Hindu-pulaya&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>           Therefore, there would be a direction to the 2nd<\/p>\n<p>           respondent to issue community certificates to the<\/p>\n<p>           petitioners 2 and 3 showing them as &#8216;Hindu-pulaya'&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(C) No. 36\/06                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>       This writ petition is disposed of in terms of the said interim<\/p>\n<p>order making it clear that in case the petitioners approach the<\/p>\n<p>competent authority, appropriate action in the light of the said<\/p>\n<p>order shall be taken in the matter of issuance of caste certificate.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                        KURIAN JOSEPH, JUDGE.\n<\/p>\n<p>smp<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(C) No. 36\/06    3<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                       KURIAN JOSEPH, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>                       W.P.(C) No. 36 OF 2006<\/p>\n<p>                           J U D G M E N T<\/p>\n<p>                            04.07.2008<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kerala High Court V.
