Das and Shri Golap Gogoi<br \/>\nRespondents    :   National Insurance Company Limited<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0     This matter was heard on 14.05.2009 pursuant to Commission&#8217;s<br \/>\nnotice dated 28.04.2009. Appellants were absent, while respondents were<br \/>\npresent through APIO.\n<\/p>\n<p>2.    From perusal of records, it is noticed that the appellants did not<br \/>\nremit the application-fee along with their RTI-application dated<br \/>\n29.07.2008 as it was their belief that no fee was required to be paid for<br \/>\ninspecting the record.\n<\/p>\n<p>3.     Respondent stated during the hearing that the present petition<br \/>\nshould not be allowed as the statutory requirement i.e.<br \/>\napplication-fee for the present petition had not been fulfilled by the<br \/>\nappellant. Respondent accordingly requested to disallow the present<br \/>\npetition.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.   Respondents&#8217; contention is upheld. Appeal rejected.\n<\/p>\n<p>5.
