Justice ANTONY DOMINIC\n\n Dated :20\/01\/2009\n\n O R D E R\n                         ANTONY DOMINIC, J.\n                         -----------------------------\n                        W.P.(C) No. 842 of 2009\n                     --------------------------------------\n                Dated this the 20th day of January, 2009\n\n                                JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Petitioners were the employees of the first respondent and after<\/p>\n<p>retirement from service, they claimed Gratuity under the Act and<\/p>\n<p>orders were passed by the Controlling Authority in their favour. The<\/p>\n<p>award also included interest for the belated payment of Gratuity.<\/p>\n<p>      2.    There were several litigations between the parties and the<\/p>\n<p>surviving claim is in relation to the liability of the 1st respondent in<\/p>\n<p>respect of payment of interest. While the Board submitted before this<\/p>\n<p>court in CCC No.1353\/2008, that the interest also was deposited with<\/p>\n<p>the authorities, the petitioners state that they were not in a position to<\/p>\n<p>get the amount released, so far since the Board has not produced the<\/p>\n<p>original challan receipts evidencing the deposit of the amount. It is in<\/p>\n<p>these circumstances, the writ petition has been             filed, seeking a<\/p>\n<p>direction to the respondent Board to produce the original chalan<\/p>\n<p>receipts evidencing the receipt of the interest amount before the 3rd<\/p>\n<p>respondent.\n<\/p>\n<p>      3.
