Siri Jagan, J.\n               =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=\n                       W.P(C) No. 3139 of 2011\n               =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=\n              Dated this, the 10th day of February, 2011.\n\n                            J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioner retired from the service of the 2nd respondent<\/p>\n<p>Municipality on 31.3.2010. The petitioner has filed this writ petition<\/p>\n<p>aggrieved by the delay in disbursing the terminal benefits due to the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner. Standing counsel for the Municipality submits that the<\/p>\n<p>delay is only on account of financial stringency of the Municipality and<\/p>\n<p>the Municipality would require at least 6 months&#8217; time to pay off the<\/p>\n<p>amounts.\n<\/p>\n<p>      I do not think that the Municipality can direct the petitioner to<\/p>\n<p>wait for receiving his terminal benefits. Accordingly, this writ petition<\/p>\n<p>is disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to disburse the<\/p>\n<p>terminal benefits due to the petitioner such as arrears of D.A and<\/p>\n<p>terminal leave salary, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within<\/p>\n<p>three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.<\/p>\n<p>                                          Sd\/- S.
