NO.  1100 OF 2007\n\n                 =================================\n\n                     Dated this the 9th day of April 2007\n\n\n                                     O R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>       The   revision   petitioner   stands   convicted   for   the   offence   under<\/p>\n<p>Section   138   of   the   Negotiable   Instruments   Act   and   sentenced   to<\/p>\n<p>undergo   simple   imprisonment   for   six   months   and   to   pay   a<\/p>\n<p>compensation of Rs. 1,00,000\/- vide Section 357(3) Cr.P.C.<\/p>\n<p>       2.   The   counsel   for   the   revision   petitioner   has   only   sought   for<\/p>\n<p>modification   of   the   sentence   and   for   time   to   pay   the   amount   of<\/p>\n<p>compensation.     In   the   circumstances,   the   sentence   is   modified   to<\/p>\n<p>imprisonment   till   the   rising   of   the   court   and   to   pay   the   amount   of<\/p>\n<p>compensation   as   ordered   and   in   default   to   undergo   simple<\/p>\n<p>imprisonment for three months.   The revision petitioner is granted six<\/p>\n<p>months time from today onwards to pay the amount of compensation.<\/p>\n<p>The   revision   petitioner   shall   appear   before   Judicial   First   Class<\/p>\n<p>Magistrate-II, Nedumangad on 10.10.2007 to receive sentence.<\/p>\n<p>       The Crl.R.P is disposed of accordingly.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                K.R.
