RAVINDRAN, J.\n                    -------------------------------\n                    W.P.(C) No.37927 of 2010\n                    -------------------------------\n         Dated this the 21st day of December, 2010\n\n                          J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>              The petitioners are former employees of the Kerala<\/p>\n<p>State Road Transport Corporation, hereinafter referred to as the<\/p>\n<p>Corporation for short. They retired from service on 30.11.2008,<\/p>\n<p>31.10.2007, 31.3.2008, 31.5.2008, 30.4.2006 and 30.11.2008<\/p>\n<p>respectively. After the petitioners retired from service, pursuant<\/p>\n<p>to a bilateral agreement entered into between the Corporation<\/p>\n<p>and its employees their pensionary benefits were revised with<\/p>\n<p>effect from 1.3.2006 subject to the condition that the monetary<\/p>\n<p>benefits will be paid only with effect from 1.4.2009. In this writ<\/p>\n<p>petition, the petitioners claim payment of the revised pensionary<\/p>\n<p>benefits with effect from 1.4.2009 in terms of the aforesaid<\/p>\n<p>settlement.\n<\/p>\n<p>           2.    Sri.V.V.Nandagopal Nambiar, learned standing<\/p>\n<p>counsel appearing for the Corporation submits that the issue<\/p>\n<p>raised by the petitioners is covered in their favour by the<\/p>\n<p>judgment of a Division Bench of this Court and that the<\/p>\n<p>Corporation will determine the revised pensionary benefits<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C) No.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                  2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>payable to the petitioners and disburse the arrears with effect<\/p>\n<p>from 1.4.2009 expeditiously.\n<\/p>\n<p>            In the light of the said submission, I dispose of the<\/p>\n<p>writ petition with a direction to the respondents to compute the<\/p>\n<p>revised pensionary benefits payable to the petitioners with effect<\/p>\n<p>from 1.4.2009 under the settlement concluded on 28.11.2008<\/p>\n<p>and to disburse the arrears expeditiously and in any event within<\/p>\n<p>one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this<\/p>\n<p>judgment. It is clarified that if payment as directed above is not<\/p>\n<p>made within the time limit of one month, the arrears of pension<\/p>\n<p>payable to the petitioners will carry simple interest at the rate of<\/p>\n<p>6% per annum from 1.6.2009. Needless to say, the respondents<\/p>\n<p>shall continue to pay revised pension to the petitioners.<\/p>\n<p>                                          P.N.
