SIRI JAGAN, J.\n                    ------------------------------\n                    W.P.(C) No.20522 OF 2010\n                   -------------------------------\n         Dated this the 13th day of September, 2010\n\n                           J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioners seek the following relief in this writ petition.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>          &#8220;i)    Issue a writ of mandamus or any other writ order or<br \/>\n          direction directing the 2nd Respondent to consider Exhibit P3<br \/>\n          and grant to the petitioners candidates promotion to the<br \/>\n          post of LDC\/Village Assistant in the existing vacancies<br \/>\n          earmarked for Villagemen as per Rules with effect from the<br \/>\n          date of occurrence of such vacancies and grant to the<br \/>\n          petitioner all consequential monetary and other benefits&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>      2.   The learned Government Pleader submits that in<\/p>\n<p>respect of identical relief, this Court has passed judgment dated<\/p>\n<p>29.7.2010 in W.P.(c)No.20518\/10 and therefore, this writ<\/p>\n<p>petition also may be disposed of in terms of that judgment. The<\/p>\n<p>said judgment reads as follows:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>           &#8220;The prayers in the writ petition are the following:\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>                     &#8216;(i)   Issue a writ of mandamus or any<br \/>\n              other writ order or direction directing the 1st<br \/>\n              and 2nd respondents to identify the number of<br \/>\n              vacancies of LDC\/VA to be filled up by<br \/>\n              promotion        from      the      post      of<br \/>\n              Villagemen\/Lastgrade Servants\/Attenders as<br \/>\n              per Ext.P1 and P2 and fill up all those<br \/>\n              vacancies from among Villagemen\/Lastgrade<br \/>\n              Servants\/Attenders from the date on which the<br \/>\n              vacancy arose and the candidates qualified and<br \/>\n              grant to them all consequential benefits<br \/>\n              including assignment of seniority in the cadre<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P.(c)No.20522\/10                      2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>                of LDC\/VA, forthwith:\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>                       (ii)   Issue a writ of mandamus or<br \/>\n                any other writ order or direction directing<br \/>\n                the 1st and 2nd respondents to prepare<br \/>\n                integrated state wise seniority list of<br \/>\n                Villagemen\/Lastgrade     Servants\/Attenders<br \/>\n                for promotion to the post of LDC\/VA,<br \/>\n                forthwith&#8217;.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>       2.     By    judgment      dated   26\/7\/2010     in WP(C)<br \/>\n       No.20473\/10, this Court has already disposed of a similar<br \/>\n       writ petition accepting the contention of the respondents<br \/>\n       that before the preparation of the state wise integrated<br \/>\n       seniority list, Special Rules will have to be finalised.<br \/>\n       Therefore the second prayer in the writ petition will have<br \/>\n       to await the finalisation of the Special Rule and the first<br \/>\n       prayer in the writ petition can only be considered<br \/>\n       thereafter.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>                   Writ petition is disposed of as above&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In the above circumstances, this writ petition is also disposed<\/p>\n<p>of in terms of that judgment.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                           S.
