The brief facts of the case are?\" \n\n4'\n\nThe appellant claims that he    clri-\u00a7}ei{'oi_VV\n\nCanter bearing registration \n\nR.s.12,000\/M\u00bb p.m. Be 'that  'on 26.09.2003\nat about 7.00 pm. whenhe   on his Canter\nfrom Banga1ore\"toggZ'--Puh__e   'Wh\u20acIi it reached\n\nnear Gotaigodii\ufb02 Vlvai\u00a7e,'\"*f'a.  '-lorry; \"bearing registration\n\nNo.TN~C34~~E)\u00e9O7?iSi\":':'-~driiren:_:V'hy its driver in a rash and\n\nnegligent  agaisnt the Canter Vehicle. Due\n\n to the\u00a7'.:iIn_j:)act he \"sustained grievous injuries. It is the Case\n\nV'7._0f.:the. that on account of the injuries sustained\n\nin.thdet\u00e9accidVe';'it'he has spent considerable amount towards\n\n'iconVeya_ric_e,V nourishing food, attendant charges and\n\nA  expenses. Therefore, he \ufb01led a Claim petition\n\nVt\"\ufb02iddclaiiniiig compensation \ufb01t\" Rs.6,50,000\/-- against the\n\n\/MM\n\n\n\nV Triliunal'.  ~ _\n\nrespondents. The said claim petition had come up before<\/pre>\n
the Tribunal and the Tribunal in turn after heari.r1\u00abgl’the<\/p>\n
learned counsel on both sides and after  <\/p>\n
oral and documentary evidence vavailable on”‘reeord’,jp,h’a_s<\/p>\n
allowed the claim petition of <\/p>\n
fixing 50% contributory negiiigencehllon   the’<\/p>\n
appellant awarded eoznpenisatiojr  Rs\ufb02.’42A,5A0\u00a7O\/– with
\ninterest at 6% per  petition till the
\ndate of depos:;t;’:\u00ab.\u00a3f\/flie pprieslented this appeal

\non  the compensation
\nawarded’  is inadequate and it requires<\/p>\n

7. The Tribunal has erred in awarding only Rs.6,0()O\/–<\/p>\n
towards medical expenses, conveyance and nourishment<\/p>\n
and attendant charges which is in adequate  <\/p>\n
that the appellant has undergone the”<\/p>\n
hospital as inpatient for more than :’day_s’.’~ <\/p>\n
have spent reasonable a111oi1_1it._ during periodgl’<\/p>\n
Therefore we deem it  to awarl’d.._Rs_,p1O,hOOO_\/_5 \ufb01nder the<\/p>\n
said head.\n<\/p>\n
8. Further the Tribunal. has  awarding any
\ncompensation   and discomfort.\n<\/p>\n
It is notiin appellant was inpatient in the<\/p>\n
hospital fortmlorelthanv “2Sll.~’l’days and underwent a surgery.<\/p>\n

  we deem it fit to award Rs.20,000\/–<\/p>\n

The 2nd respondent is directed to deposit the
\nenhanced compensation of Rs.17′.OOO\/- together with
\ninterest, within a period of four weeks from the date of<\/p>\n
receipt of copy of the judgment.\n<\/p>\n
The enhanced compensation of <\/p>\n
