The population of Nagpur has grown tremendously during the last few years which is now more than 34 lakhs. It has become the regional centre for higher education and many important judicial and financial institutions and scores of blue chip companies have established their office in the city. <\/p>\n<p>With the growth in the industrial and trade activities, there has been a large migration of population from the adjoining districts and from the rural areas to Nagpur in search of livelihood. Consequently, large number of slum clusters have come up all over the city to accommodate these poor migrants.
