South,\n   Valluvarkottam, Chennai  34.\t\n\n4.The Assistant Executive Engineer\/O&amp;M\n   Tamil Nadu Electricity Board,\n   No.1, Link Road, Nandanam, South Circle,\n   Chennai  35.\n\n5.Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority,\n   Rep. by its Member Secretary,\n   No.1, Gandhi Irwin Road,\n   Egmore, Chennai  600 008.\t\t\t..\t  Respondents\n\nPRAYER: Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1 to 4 respondents to effect Electricity Service connection on the application to the petitioner's premises situate at D.No. New.3, Old.2, Burkit Road, Mooparappan Street, T.Nagar, T.S.No.5850, Block No.131, T.Nagar Village, Chennai-17 in accordance with law and without insisting on production of Completion Certificate\/No Objection Certificate from the fifth respondent or any other planning authorities concerned.\n\n\t \t\tFor Petitioner   \t:  Mr.E.Martin Jeyakumar\n\t\t\tFor Respondents\t:  Mr.A.Selvendran, (for R1 to R4)\n\t\t\t\t\t\t   Mr.D.Veerasekaran, (for R5)\n\n\t\t\t\t\t* * * * *\t\n\n\nO R D E R\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tHeard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsels appearing for the respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. In spite of the matter being adjourned on several occasions, the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, had not filed the inspection report, as directed by this Court.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. In view of the earlier orders passed by this Court, directing the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board to grant electricity service connection to the concerned petitioner, without insisting on the completion certificate from the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, wherever it was found that there were only minor deviations in the construction of the buildings, the 1 to 4 respondents to effect Electricity Service connection on the application to the petitioner&#8217;s premises situate at D.No. New.3, Old.2, Burkit Road, Mooparappan Street, T.Nagar, T.S.No.5850, Block No.131, T.Nagar Village, Chennai-17, without insisting on the production of the Completion Certificate\/No Objection Certificate from the fifth respondent authority, if the deviations found in the construction of the building in the petitioner&#8217;s premises is only minor in nature.  The respondents 1 to 4  are directed to provide the electricity service connection, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.  The writ petition is ordered accordingly.
