SIRI JAGAN, J\n               ...............................................\n                      W.P(C) Nos. 12214,\n                    12471 &amp; 12206 of 2008\n               ...............................................\n         Dated this the 9th day of November, 2009\n\n                         J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      Petitioners in these three writ petitions are private<\/p>\n<p>educational institutions. They enjoy electricity supply from the<\/p>\n<p>Kerala State Electricity Board. Their grievances in these writ<\/p>\n<p>petitions are that although they are liable to pay electricity<\/p>\n<p>charges only under LT VI A tariff, the KSEB is demanding<\/p>\n<p>electricity charges under LT VII A Tariff.                According to the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners, the issue involved in these writ petitions are covered<\/p>\n<p>by a Division Bench decision of this court in <a href=\"\/doc\/949903\/\">Bro. Joseph<\/p>\n<p>Antony v. Kerala State Electricity Board<\/a> [2009(3) KLT 1022]<\/p>\n<p>in favour of the petitioners.\n<\/p>\n<p>      2. I have heard the standing counsel appearing for the<\/p>\n<p>KSEB also. He does not dispute the fact that the issue involved in<\/p>\n<p>these writ petitions are covered by the abovesaid decision. In<\/p>\n<p>the above circumstances, the impugned demands are quashed.<\/p>\n<p>It is declared that the petitioners are liable to pay electricity<\/p>\n<p>charges only under LT VIA tariff and not under LT VIIA tariff.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">W.P(C) No. 31153 of 2009         -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Any excess amount paid by the petitioners shall be adjusted<\/p>\n<p>against the future bills of the petitioners.<\/p>\n<p>     These writ petitions are disposed of as above.<\/p>\n<p>                                         S.
