RAMKUMAR, J.\n                - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                      Crl.R.P.No. 898 of 2008\n              - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n           Dated this the 18th day of March, 2008\n\n                                  ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The accused in C.C.No.100 of 1999 on the file                  of the<\/p>\n<p>J.F.C.M, Thalassery for an offence punishable under Section 138<\/p>\n<p>of the     Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, challenges the<\/p>\n<p>conviction entered and the sentence passed against him<\/p>\n<p>concurrently by the courts below.\n<\/p>\n<p>      2.   Pending this revision, the parties have settled the<\/p>\n<p>matter. Crl.M.A.No.2739 of 2008 has been filed under Section<\/p>\n<p>147 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 seeking permission<\/p>\n<p>to record the composition entered into between the revision<\/p>\n<p>petitioner and the complainant.             The said petition has been<\/p>\n<p>signed by both the revision petitioner as well as the complainant<\/p>\n<p>and their respective counsels. In the light of this development,<\/p>\n<p>the aforementioned composition is recorded and it will have the<\/p>\n<p>effect of an acquittal of the revision                petitioner within the<\/p>\n<p>meaning of Sec. 320 (8) Cr.P.C.\n<\/p>\n<p>      This Crl.
