In response, CPIO Shri Ajeet Singh Shekhawat Inspector<br \/>\nGeneral\/Adm., CISF by a letter dated 10.09.2008 refused the information under<br \/>\nthe provision of Section 24 (1) of RTI Act, 2005 stating that the CISF is an armed<br \/>\nforce of the Union &amp; outside the purview of the Act except for cases of allegation<br \/>\nof corruption &amp; human rights violation, which the information sought by the<br \/>\nappellant does not fall precisely within the ambit of. Shri Dass, being aggrieved<br \/>\nwith the response, approached the First Appellate Authority of the Force. The<br \/>\nappellate authority Shri RK Das, DG CRPF in his order dated 10.10.2008 upheld<br \/>\nthe stand of the CPIO.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                      DECISION NOTICE<\/p>\n<p>         The appeal was scheduled to be heard on 18.3.&#8217;10. But we find that this<br \/>\ncase has already been dealt with in our Decision Notice of 30.10.2009 in Appeal<br \/>\nNo. CIC\/WB\/A\/2009\/000181, as follows:-\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>         &#8220;The application of appellant Shri Ram Dass is concerned with<br \/>\n         CISF, BSF and CRPF together. However the present appeal has<br \/>\n         been filed against the response received from CISF only.<br \/>\n         Nevertheless, CISF together with BSF and CRPF are all<br \/>\n         organizations listed at S. Nos. 9, 10, and 12 of the Second<br \/>\n        Schedule of Right to Information Act, 2005 as dealing with security<br \/>\n       and intelligence, and therefore not covered by the Act except for<br \/>\n       information pertaining to the allegation of Corruption and Violation<br \/>\n       of Human Rights. The information sought by the appellant Shri<br \/>\n       Dass has made no such allegations. The information sought by the<br \/>\n       complainant is general information in a matter of and concerning<br \/>\n       administrative procedure and hence, in light of Sec 24(1) does not<br \/>\n       lie under the ambit of RTI Act.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>       In view of the above, the hearing scheduled for 18.3.&#8217;10 are cancelled and<br \/>\nthe parties informed, and the present appeal is also hereby dismissed.\n<\/p>\n<p>       Announced this eighteenth day of March 2010.
