Justice T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR\n\n Dated :20\/12\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n                  T.R.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR,J.\n                    -------------------------------------\n                   W.P.(C)No.3242 Of 2008 J\n              -----------------------------------------------------\n      DATED THIS THE 20th DAY OF DECEMBER, 2010\n\n                                J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>     The petitioner, a former member of the Edakkad Grama<\/p>\n<p>Panchayat in Kannur District has filed this Writ Petition, seeking<\/p>\n<p>for a direction to the respondents to have immediate steps to<\/p>\n<p>repair the Kizhunna Parkandy Kshethram Pokkarathmukku road<\/p>\n<p>in Edakkad Panchayat.\n<\/p>\n<p>     2.    Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the<\/p>\n<p>learned Government Pleader and the learned counsel for the<\/p>\n<p>Panchayat.\n<\/p>\n<p>     3.    In the affidavit filed on 3.6.2010 along with<\/p>\n<p>I.A.No.7659\/2010, the petitioner has stated that the Government<\/p>\n<p>has allotted funds to the 2nd respondent-District Collector, Kannur<\/p>\n<p>for repair of the road. Whether those funds have been allotted<\/p>\n<p>for the work in question is not clear from the affidavit also.<\/p>\n<p>     4.    Evidently, whether there is any Scheme available for<\/p>\n<p>the repair of the road is a matter for the District Collector to<\/p>\n<p>consider.
