In this connection, he had requested for the<br \/>\nfollowing information:-\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>        &#8220;1.      I would also like to inspect the following documents related to these<br \/>\n                 works. These records should be made available to me for inspection:\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<pre>                 a.         Measurement Book\n                 b.         Details of Estimates\n                 c.         Sketches\n                 d.         All the files related to this project including files and documents\n<\/pre>\n<blockquote><p>                            dealing with all the issues including, but not restricted to, reports<br \/>\n                            and tenders, correspondence, minutes of meeting, agreements,<br \/>\n                            bids, contracts, and file notings.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>                            After inspection, I would indicate the pages which I want. Kindly<br \/>\n                            provide copies thereof.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>        2.       According to section 2(j)(iii) of the Right to Information Act, every citizen<br \/>\n                 also has the right to take samples of material. I would like to take a<br \/>\n                 sample of material for each of the above works. Each sample should be<br \/>\n                 collected by the Department in my presence and should be sealed and<br \/>\n                 certified to be a true sample of material of that work.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\"> C374ChiragKapoorPWD2511 6                                      2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>3.        It appears that no information was provided to the complainant. Hence, this<br \/>\ncomplaint.\n<\/p>\n<p>4.        The matter was heard on 25\/11\/2008. The complainant appeared before the<br \/>\nCommission. He is a young Engineering student imbued with idealism. He submitted<br \/>\nthat he would like to inspect the roads and seek the information mentioned hereinabove to<br \/>\nsee whether the work is being done as per standard norms and procedures.\n<\/p>\n<p>5.        It is regrettable that the request of the complainant has remained unattended to by<br \/>\nDDA. His request is genuine and falls in the ambit of the RTI Act. In view of the above<br \/>\n(SE(Civil)PWD Project Circle II Public Works Department(Zone-4) Delhi), is directed to<br \/>\nfurnish the information requested for by the complainant and also to allow him to inspect<br \/>\nthe ongoing works on the project.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                        DECISION\n<\/p>\n<p>6.
