Registrar &amp; PIO,\n                                            University of Delhi\n                                            Main Campus, Delhi-110007.\n\n   RTI application filed on          :       27\/10\/2008\n   PIO replied                       :       25\/11\/2008\n   First Appeal filed on             :       16\/12\/2008\n   First Appellate Authority order :         16\/01\/2009\n   Second Appeal filed on            :       24\/2\/2009\nDetail of required information:-\n   The Appellant had asked following question regarding the complete information\nabout the admission process of Chemistry Department(University of Delhi) under RTI\nAct, 2005:-\n   1) Give me information about the new admission lists of M.Sc and M. Phil of\n       Chemistry Department, which was displayed in this year 2008? All details like\n       what are the names, courses, categories of the candidates? Their merit lists (with\n       ranks and marks of the entrance test conducted by this department 2008)?\n       Percentage of the marks in last exam of the candidates?\n   2) What are the criteria or the process to take admission of these courses? Did the\n       department see only the rank of the entrance test or did they see rank and marks of\n       the last exam of the candidates to give admission in this department?\n   3) Did this department send the merit lists of M.Sc and M.Phil to Jubilee Hall Hostel\n       (before 15th September 2008) for the admission process of that hostel? If yes,\n       then please provide me the same copy of the lists.\n\nThe PIO replied.\n        PIO replied \"It has been informed by the Department of Chemistry that admission\nlist for M.Sc. Chemistry is available on the website and may be referred to by the\n applicant. For admission to M.Phil Course, an Entrance Test was conducted on 17th\nSeptember, 2008 and the process of admission is still on\".\n.\n<\/pre>\n<p>The First Appellate Authority ordered:\n<\/p>\n<p>        The First Appellate Authority ordered &#8220;After considering the appeal, it is directed<br \/>\nthat the Head, Department of Chemistry and the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Science<br \/>\nmay provide the relevant information available with them by 19th February, 2009&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing:<br \/>\nThe following were present<br \/>\nAppellant : Mr. Saikat Dalui<br \/>\nRespondent : Mr. Deepak Vats<br \/>\nThe PIO admits that there was an error in not having given the marks earlier. The PIO is<br \/>\nwarned to ensure that complete information is given within the 30 day period mandated<br \/>\nin the law.
