Respondents.\n                                    -----------\n<\/pre>\n<p>02\/   20.04.2011               Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and<\/p>\n<p>                   learned counsel for the State.\n<\/p>\n<p>                               This writ petition has been filed for a direction<\/p>\n<p>                   to the respondents not to convene the special meeting to<\/p>\n<p>                   discuss &#8216;no confidence motion&#8217; against the petitioner till<\/p>\n<p>                   final decision is taken by the State Election Commission.<\/p>\n<p>                               Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that<\/p>\n<p>                   respondent no. 7 having not participated in six consecutive<\/p>\n<p>                   meetings and hence is disqualified and he has discussed<\/p>\n<p>                   for &#8216;no confidence motion&#8217; against the petitioner who is<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>         the    Chairman,     Nagar      Panchayat,     Nabi   Nagar,<\/p>\n<p>         Municipality.\n<\/p>\n<p>                      Learned counsel for the Election Commission,<\/p>\n<p>         however, contended that no such direction can be given<\/p>\n<p>         when the respondent no. 7 has not been disqualified and<\/p>\n<p>         there is only allegation that a petition has been filed and a<\/p>\n<p>         requisition has been made for a meeting for &#8216;no confidence<\/p>\n<p>         motion&#8217;.\n<\/p>\n<p>                      Hence, having regard to the facts and<\/p>\n<p>         circumstance, since the respondent no. 7 has not been held<\/p>\n<p>         to be disqualified and hence no such order directing him<\/p>\n<p>         not to convene the special meeting is either reasonable or<\/p>\n<p>         justified.\n<\/p>\n<p>                      Hence, I do not find any merit in this writ<\/p>\n<p>         petition.
