SIRI JAGAN, J.\n                  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                     W.P.(C)No. 17803 of 2010\n                  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n              Dated this the 9th day of June, 2010\n\n                            J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioner complains that the petitioner is not being given<\/p>\n<p>interim custody of the vehicle seized on allegation of illegal<\/p>\n<p>transportation of river sand.\n<\/p>\n<p>      2.    I have heard the learned Government Pleader also.<\/p>\n<p>      3.    The principles regarding grant of interim custody of<\/p>\n<p>vehicles have been laid down by this Court in the decision in <a href=\"\/doc\/318558\/\">District<\/p>\n<p>Collector, Malappuram v. Abdul Kasim<\/a> [2010 (1) KLT SN 31<\/p>\n<p>(C.No.38)].\n<\/p>\n<p>      4.    In the above circumstances, this writ petition is dispose of<\/p>\n<p>with the following directions:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>      The 1st respondent shall get the value of the vehicle<\/p>\n<p>      assessed by a competent officer and give interim custody<\/p>\n<p>      of the vehicle in terms of the conditions laid down in the<\/p>\n<p>      above said decision within two weeks from the date of<\/p>\n<p>      receipt of a certified copy of this judgment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>                                                               S.
