GIRI ,J.\n                          -------------------------------\n                         WP(C).NO.29997 of 2007\n                         ---------------------------------\n                Dated this the 10th       day of October, 2007\n\n                                JUDGMENT\n<\/pre>\n<p>       The petitioner is a Lineman Grade-I in the Kerala State Electricity<\/p>\n<p>Board. He aspires for promotion to the cadre of Meter Reader. According to<\/p>\n<p>him, in the Electricity Board, 25% of the quota is set apart for in-service<\/p>\n<p>candidates. The petitioner made an application for being considered in that<\/p>\n<p>behalf as per Ext.P2. The same has not been done so far.<\/p>\n<p>       2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned<\/p>\n<p>Standing Counsel for the Electricity Board.\n<\/p>\n<p>       3. The writ petition is disposed of in the following terms:<\/p>\n<p>       i)   The petitioner shall file a representation raising his claim for<\/p>\n<p>promotion to the post of Meter Reader under 25% quota stated to be<\/p>\n<p>available for in-service candidates, within a period of three weeks from the<\/p>\n<p>date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, before the first respondent. On<\/p>\n<p>receipt of the same, the first respondent shall look into the claim and if it is<\/p>\n<p>found to be acceptable, necessary orders shall be passed promoting the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner, within a period of 2 months thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>                                               V.
