Justice M.C.HARI RANI\n\n Dated :03\/12\/2010\n\n O R D E R\n              K.M.JOSEPH &amp; M.C.HARI RANI, JJ.\n        ------------------------------------------------------\n                 W.P.(C) No.34772 of 2010-V\n           ----------------------------------------------\n          Dated, this the 3rd day of December, 2010\n\n                         J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>K.M.Joseph, J.\n<\/p>\n<p>              Petitioner has approached this Court seeking the<\/p>\n<p>following relief:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>     &#8221; to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate<\/p>\n<p>     writ, direction or order directing respondents 1 to 3 to<\/p>\n<p>     afford adequate and effective police protection to the life<\/p>\n<p>     of petitioner and her family from the acts of violence of<\/p>\n<p>     respondents 4 to 9.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>            2.    Briefly put, the case of the petitioner is as<\/p>\n<p>follows: Petitioner is a senior citizen residing along with her<\/p>\n<p>husband, son and daughter in a small house in an extent of 4<\/p>\n<p>cents of property.      Respondents 4 to 9 are perpetrating<\/p>\n<p>systemic violence to drive the petitioner out of the property.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Two attempts were made on her life. Though complained of to<\/p>\n<p>the police, no action was taken.         Petitioner filed complaint<\/p>\n<p>through court.     Police is hand-in-glove with the contesting<\/p>\n<p>respondents.\n<\/p>\n<p>            3. Learned Government Pleader was asked to file<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">WPC 34772\/2010                  -2-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>statement. In the statement it is stated that on the basis of a<\/p>\n<p>complaint before the Magistrate crime was registered (Crime<\/p>\n<p>No.633\/2010) and investigated. It was found false and a refer<\/p>\n<p>report is filed.   Further complaint has been      received on<\/p>\n<p>22.10.2010 and that enquiry is still going on and prima facie<\/p>\n<p>there is no truth in the matter and that action will be taken in<\/p>\n<p>accordance with law. We record the same.
