Justice C.N.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR\n\n Dated :28\/11\/2007\n\n O R D E R\n                      C.N.RAMACHANDRAN NAIR, J.\n\n                            -------------------------\n\n                  WP(C) Nos. 14284, 26408 of 2006,\n\n                 9173, 18153, 19728 &amp; 19866 of 2007\n\n                       ---------------------------------\n\n             Dated, this the 28th day of November, 2007\n\n\n                                J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      All these petitions are filed by the industries, which are closed.<\/p>\n<p>In  most  of  the   cases  the  supply   of  electricity  was   disconnected  and<\/p>\n<p>installations were dismantled.  The Government gave some incentives<\/p>\n<p>like waiver of MD charges to such industries, which started production<\/p>\n<p>by 30\/06\/2007.  Petitioners did not avail the benefit.  According to the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners, even though they approached the Government, they were<\/p>\n<p>not   granted   connection   on   account   of   non-clearance   of   previous<\/p>\n<p>arrears.  I do not think there is anything in these cases that requires<\/p>\n<p>adjudication by this Court.   Since the Government has to encourage<\/p>\n<p>re-starting of closed industrial units, it is for the Government and the<\/p>\n<p>KSEB to co-ordinate with each other and consider the proposal for re-<\/p>\n<p>starting   the   industries   and   if   there   are   bona   fide   cases,   the<\/p>\n<p>Government and the Board can  extend the time for payment and lay<\/p>\n<p>down all other conditions for  restoring electricity  supply.
