No.36510\/2009-G\n                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\n          Dated this the 23rd day of December, 2009\n\n                      J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>    The petitioner is now working as a Mechanic in the<\/p>\n<p>Central Workshop, Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.   The<\/p>\n<p>main prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the<\/p>\n<p>respondents  to   modify   the   educational  qualification<\/p>\n<p>prescribed   for   the    post   of   Technical    Assistant<\/p>\n<p>(Electronics) by including I.T.I Instrument Mechanic also<\/p>\n<p>as educational qualification along with or instead of I.T.I<\/p>\n<p>Electronics.\n<\/p>\n<p>    2.   The petitioner is a holder of I.T.I. Certificate<\/p>\n<p>in Instrument Mechanic after passing S.S.L.C.     He joined<\/p>\n<p>the service on 23\/01\/1987 in the T.D. Medical College,<\/p>\n<p>Alappuzha and has now completed 23 years of continuous<\/p>\n<p>service.   The qualification for Mechanic in the Medical<\/p>\n<p>Colleges is prescribed as per Ext.P1 Government Order.   The<\/p>\n<p>petitioner&#8217;s grievance is that his request for promotion to<\/p>\n<p>the post of Technical Assistant (Electronics) has not been<\/p>\n<p>considered so far.   It is in these circumstances, he has<\/p>\n<p>filed Exts.P8 and P9 representations before the Government.<\/p>\n<p>    3.   The learned Government Pleader on instructions<\/p>\n<p>submitted that Exts.P8 and P9 have not been received by the<\/p>\n<p>Government so far.\n<\/p>\n<p>W.P.(C). No.36510\/2009<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                -:2:-<\/span><\/p>\n<p>     4.      But,    the learned  counsel  for the  petitioner<\/p>\n<p>submitted     that    the same were   forwarded through proper<\/p>\n<p>channel.\n<\/p>\n<p>     5.      If the petitioner refiles Exts.P8 and P9 within a<\/p>\n<p>period of three weeks, the same will be considered by the<\/p>\n<p>Government and appropriate decision will be taken with<\/p>\n<p>regard to the grievances voiced by the petitioner therein<\/p>\n<p>within a period of four months from the date of receipt of<\/p>\n<p>a copy of this Judgment.\n<\/p>\n<p>     The writ petition is disposed of as above.
