RAMKUMAR, J.\n                    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *\n             Bail Application No. 6679 of 2010\n              * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *\n             Dated: 19th day of October, 2010\n\n                                ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>     Petitioners, who are accused Nos. 1 and 2 in Crime<\/p>\n<p>No.868\/2010 of Town East Police Station, Thrissur for offences<\/p>\n<p>punishable under Sections 406 and 420 read with 34 IPC, seek<\/p>\n<p>their enlargement on bail.         The occurrence took place on<\/p>\n<p>9.10.2010. The petitioners were arrested on 10.10.2010.<\/p>\n<p>     2. The learned Public Prosecutor opposed the application<\/p>\n<p>contending    inter-alia    that   the  petitioners  had   collected<\/p>\n<p>Rs.13,00,000\/- and eight persons were cheated on false promise<\/p>\n<p>for securing admission for medicine in other states and the<\/p>\n<p>investigation is still in progress.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>     3.     Having regard to the nature of the allegations levelled<\/p>\n<p>against the petitioners, the relative conduct of the parties, the<\/p>\n<p>nature of the injury sustained, the sentiments of the near relatives<\/p>\n<p>of the victim and the other facts and circumstances of the case, if<\/p>\n<p>the petitioners are released on bail, they will definitely influence<\/p>\n<p>Bail Application No. 6679 of 2010<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                                    2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>and intimidate the prosecution        witnesses. There is also the<\/p>\n<p>likelihood of        the petitioners making themselves scarce and<\/p>\n<p>fleeing from justice. I am, therefore, not inclined to grant bail to<\/p>\n<p>the petitioners at this stage.\n<\/p>\n<p>       This petition is accordingly dismissed.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                         V.
