JUSTICE AJAI LAMBA\n\n\nPRESENT: -      Mr. Arvind Thakur,                     Advocate,         for\n                the petitioners.\n\n\n                                .      .         .\n\n\nAJAI LAMBA, J (Oral)\n\n                The      petition          has        been        filed     by       the\n\npetitioners      with     the       assertions             that     they       are    of\n\n<\/pre>\n<p>marriageable age and got married, however, against the<\/p>\n<p>desires    of     respondent          Nos.4           to     7.      Because          the<\/p>\n<p>respondents are threatening the life and liberty of the<\/p>\n<p>petitioners, a complaint was made vide Annexure P-5,<\/p>\n<p>however, no action has been taken.<\/p>\n<p>                Learned     counsel         has        also       contended          that<\/p>\n<p>father    of    Manjit    Singh       (petitioner             No.2)        has       been<\/p>\n<p>picked up by the Station House Officer, Police Station,<\/p>\n<p>Ghannur, District Patiala, which is a clear abuse of<\/p>\n<p>process of law.\n<\/p>\n<p>                The     circumstances                constrain      me     to    issue<br \/>\n Civil Writ Petition No.M-19398 of 2008                                 [2]<\/p>\n<p>directions        to    the    Senior     Superintendent    of    Police,<\/p>\n<p>Patiala (respondent No.2) to have an enquiry conducted<\/p>\n<p>into    the     allegations        made   in   the   petition,    a    copy<\/p>\n<p>whereof      would     be     supplied    alongwith    a   copy   of    the<\/p>\n<p>order.\n<\/p>\n<p>                   Ordered accordingly.\n<\/p>\n<p>                   The enquiry be concluded within 15 days.<\/p>\n<p>In case the apprehension of the petitioners is found<\/p>\n<p>reasonable, protection of their life and liberty would<\/p>\n<p>be ensured.\n<\/p>\n<p>                   Petition is disposed of accordingly.<\/p>\n<pre>\n\n\n                                                           (AJAI LAMBA)\nAugust 04, 2008                                               JUDGE\navin\n <\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Punjab-Haryana High Court Mamtesh Kaur &amp; Another vs State Of Punjab &amp; Others on 4 August, 2008 IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB &amp; HARYANA, CHANDIGARH Criminal Miscellaneous No.M-19398 of 2008 Date of Decision: August 04, 2008 Mamtesh Kaur &amp; Another &#8230;..PETITIONER(S) VERSUS State of Punjab &amp; Others &#8230;..RESPONDENT(S) . . .
