Sreelatha, the<\/p>\n<p>learned Government Pleader appearing on notice for<\/p>\n<p>respondents 1 and 3 and Sri.P.V.Kunhikrishnan, the<\/p>\n<p>learned    standing  counsel     appearing     for the 2nd<\/p>\n<p>respondent.\n<\/p>\n<p>     2.    The petitioner is a pensioner. He retired from<\/p>\n<p>service as Assistant Executive Engineer from the Calicut<\/p>\n<p>Corporation on 31.5.2005 on attaining the age of<\/p>\n<p>superannuation. The grievance voiced by the petitioner is<\/p>\n<p>that though he has been paid pension and other terminal<\/p>\n<p>benefits, the DCRG payable to him has not been disbursed<\/p>\n<p>so far. When this writ petition came up for admission on<\/p>\n<p>30.7.2008, the learned Government Pleader appearing on<\/p>\n<p>behalf of the respondents 1 and 3 submitted that DCRG<\/p>\n<p>has been sanctioned to the petitioner as per order dated<\/p>\n<p>11.7.2008.\n<\/p>\n<p>W.P ( C) No.15600 of 2008<br \/>\n<span class=\"hidden_text\">                               2<\/span><\/p>\n<p>      3.    Today when the case was heard, the learned<\/p>\n<p>standing counsel appearing       for the 2nd respondent<\/p>\n<p>submitted that there was no delay on the part of the said<\/p>\n<p>respondent in forwarding the pension papers and that the<\/p>\n<p>delay in disbursing the DCRG occurred at the hands of the<\/p>\n<p>State Government. I have considered the submissions made<\/p>\n<p>by the learned counsel on either side. In view of the fact<\/p>\n<p>that there is no impediment in the disbursement of the<\/p>\n<p>DCRG payable to the petitioner and as the Government<\/p>\n<p>have admittedly passed an order on 11.7.2008, I dispose of<\/p>\n<p>this writ petition with a direction to the respondents to<\/p>\n<p>disburse the DCRG payable to the petitioner within a<\/p>\n<p>period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of<\/p>\n<p>this judgment. The claim of the petitioner for interest due<\/p>\n<p>to delayed payment of the DCRG is left open.
