Respondents\n\nPrayer\n\nWrit Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India,\npraying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.1 to\nprovide adequate protection to the petitioners to live freely in their native\nsince the respondent No.2 is threatening the petitioners.\n\n!For Petitioners    ... Advocate\n\n:ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tHeard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also Mr.D.Sasikumar,<br \/>\nlearned Government Advocate, who took notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and\n<\/p>\n<p>2.<\/p>\n<p>\t2. The grievance of the petitioners as aired by the learned counsel for<br \/>\nthe petitioner placing reliance on the averments in the affidavit accompanying<br \/>\nthe writ petition, is to the effect that the petitioners recently embrassed<br \/>\nIslam, which triggered and evoked ill-will among the third respondent, viz., the<br \/>\nPresident, Nainarpathu Panchayat Union, Nainarpathu, Udankudi, Tuticorin<br \/>\nDistrict and his men and they are jeopardizing the peaceful living of the<br \/>\npetitioners; the petitioners apprehend danger at the hands of the third<br \/>\nrespondent and his men; the petitioners petitioned the respondents 1 and 2,<br \/>\nwhich evoked no positive response.  Hence, the petitioners seek direction.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. Heard the learned Government Advocate.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. without in any way giving a finding on fact, whether the petitioners<br \/>\nhaving been intimidated and threatened by the third respondent and his men, I<br \/>\nwould like to pass the following direction:<br \/>\n\tOn receipt of a copy of this order, the petitioners shall appear before<br \/>\nthe first respondent and air the grievance and thereupon the first respondent<br \/>\nshall see to it that physical protection is provided to the petitioners,<br \/>\nuntrammeled and uninfluenced by any of the observations made by this Court in<br \/>\ndisposing of this writ petition.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
