The Sub-Registrar of Co-operative\n    Societies(Housing),\n    Office of the Deputy Registrar of\n    Co-operative Societies(Housing),\n    First Street,\n    K.K.Nagar,\n    Madurai.\t\t\t\t        ..Respondents\n\nPRAYER\n\nWrit Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India,\npraying to issue a Writ of  Mandamus directing the respondents  herein to extend\nthe terms of the Board of Directors of the petitioner society as sought for in\nthe representation of the petitioner, dated 23.10.2009, made in pursuance of the\nresolution of the Board of Directors, dated 21.10.2009, till they conduct the\nelection to the petitioner society.\n\n!For Petitioner   ...Mr.V.Ramakrishnan\n^For Respondents  ...Mr.Pala Ramasamy\n\t\t     Special Govt.Pleader\n\n:ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>\tThis Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus,<br \/>\ndirecting the respondents herein to extend the terms of the Board of Directors<br \/>\nof the petitioner society, as sought for in the representation of the<br \/>\npetitioner, dated 23.10.2009, made in pursuance of the resolution of the Board<br \/>\nof Directors, dated 21.10.2009, till they conduct the election to the petitioner<br \/>\nsociety.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t2. Mr.Pala Ramasamy, the learned Special Government Pleader takes notice<br \/>\non behalf of the  respondents. With the consent of both parties, the writ<br \/>\nPetition  is taken up for final disposal.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t3. At this stage of the hearing of the Writ Petition, the learned counsel<br \/>\nappearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that it would suffice, if<br \/>\nthe first respondent is directed to be dispose of the representation of the<br \/>\npetitioner, dated 23.10.2009, on merits and in accordance with law, within a<br \/>\nspecified period fixed by this Court.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t4. Mr.Pala Ramasamy, the learned Special Government Pleader, appearing on<br \/>\nbehalf of the respondent did not have any objection for such an order being<br \/>\npassed by this Court.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t5.  In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on<br \/>\neither side, without going into the merits of the case, the  first respondent is<br \/>\ndirected to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.10.2009,<br \/>\non merits and in accordance with law, within a period of  ten days, from the<br \/>\ndate of receipt of a copy of this order. The Petitioner is directed to furnish a<br \/>\ncopy of the representation, dated 23.10.2009, along with a copy of this order,<br \/>\nto the first respondent.\n<\/p>\n<p>\t6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.<br \/>\nConsequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.\n<\/p>\n<p>vsn<\/p>\n<p>To<\/p>\n<p>1.
