SPEAKER<\/a>:\u00a0 Hon. Members, for your information, I want to briefly recapitulate the main items of business transacted by the House during the last week.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Due to frequent disruptions during Question Hour, out of the 80 Starred Questions admitted, only 8 could be answered orally. Replies to the remaining Starred Questions along with the replies to\u00a0 827 Unstarred Questions were laid on the Table.  <\/p>\n<p>\u2026 (Interruptions)  <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=MR.%20SPEAKER\">MR. SPEAKER<\/a>: I appeal to you to maintain order.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The House took up on Calling Attention regarding \u201csale of spurious drugs in the country causing serious health hazards to the people\u201d raised by Dr. Laxminarayan Pandey.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The House discussed for about 3 hours and 51 minutes one Short Duration Discussion under Rule 193 regarding \u201csituation arising out of floods in various parts of the country\u201d raised by Shri Ananth Kumar which remained part discussed.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 During the period, as many as 16 matters of urgent public importance were raised. Also, 41 matters were raised under Rule 377.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 As regards the Legislative Business, the House passed the Merchant Shipping (Amendment) Bill, 2004 after debating it for 1 hour and 34 minutes.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Departmentally-Related Standing Committees presented 8 Reports during the last week.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 During the last week, we lost 12 hours and 49 minutes due to interruptions and forced adjournments, that is, 50 per cent of the time lost in four days.  <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hon. Members, I again seek your kind cooperation in the smooth conduct of the proceedings.  <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=SHRI%20BRAJA%20KISHORE%20TRIPATHY%20\">SHRI BRAJA KISHORE TRIPATHY <\/a>(<a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=PURI\">PURI<\/a>):\u00a0 We have worked sitting over-time also.\n<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"marker_ref\" href=\"\/search\/?formInput=MR.%20SPEAKER\">MR.
