The safety equipment is not being supplied properly. Quality of the shoes supplied in ECL is an example. The Coal ministry should take care of the workers who are working in the underground mines. The violation of safety rules in the mines is the main cause of accidents. Occurrence of fire in the mines is a general phenomenon. The approach of the authorities in this respect is casual. This is also causing losses in the mines. The condition of open cast projects (OCPs) is also very bad. Normally it creates problems for the local people.
