RAVIKUMAR, J\n          - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n                   W.P.(C) 19617            OF 2010\n          - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -\n           Dated this the 23rd day of July, 2010\n\n\n                          J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>      The petitioner filed this writ petition mainly challenging<\/p>\n<p>Exts.P7 P8 and P14 and for issuance of                 writ of mandamus<\/p>\n<p>directing the respondents to re-consider the matter afresh for<\/p>\n<p>enabling the petitioner to get pensionary benefits counting the<\/p>\n<p>regularised service of 32 years in the department.<\/p>\n<p>      2.   The impugned orders would reveal that the<\/p>\n<p>authorities issued notice to the petitioner and they have in fact<\/p>\n<p>published a show cause notice in Kerala Koumudi Daily dated<\/p>\n<p>27.7.1995.    One of the reasons assigned therein was that<\/p>\n<p>though a notice was issued to the petitioner in his Bangalore<\/p>\n<p>address that was returned with the endorsement that the<\/p>\n<p>addressee was not in the station. Considering the contention<\/p>\n<p>raised in the writ petition the he was, in fact, available at<\/p>\n<p>Bangalore, a direction was issued to the petitioner to make<\/p>\n<p>available a copy of the pass port possessed by him pertaining<\/p>\n<p>to the period in question.             The petitioner produced the<\/p>\n<p>photocopy of the passport which would reveal that the<\/p>\n<p>petitioner was not actually available in India.<\/p>\n<p>WPC No. 19617\/2010<\/p>\n<p>     When faced with such a situation, the petitioner sought<\/p>\n<p>for permission to withdraw this writ petition. Permission is<\/p>\n<p>granted. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as<\/p>\n<p>withdrawn.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>                                              Sd\/-\n<\/p>\n<p>                                  C.T.
