No.30437\/2007-W\n                     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\n                  Dated this the 18th day of March, 2009\n\n                           J U D G M E N T\n<\/pre>\n<p>             The petitioner retired from service as a Reader in Hindi from<\/p>\n<p>the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady on 31\/05\/2005. He<\/p>\n<p>joined there on 17\/11\/1997 and continued till the date of his retirement. He<\/p>\n<p>had also worked there as Professor in Hindi from 01\/11\/1994 to 16\/11\/1997<\/p>\n<p>and he has completed 24 years and 3 months service in various capacities.<\/p>\n<p>The claims raised herein is for the sanction of retirement benefits.<\/p>\n<p>      2.    The first respondent Registrar has filed a counter affidavit.<\/p>\n<p>Ext.R1(b) is the proceedings of the University dated 24\/05\/2008,<\/p>\n<p>sanctioning pension and gratuity for the remaining period of service due to<\/p>\n<p>the petitioner.  It is therefore, submitted that the writ petition may be<\/p>\n<p>disposed of in the light of Ext.R1(b). The Registrar of University will take<\/p>\n<p>appropriate action to disburse the pension amount to the petitioner within<\/p>\n<p>one month from the date of receipt of the copy of this judgment.<\/p>\n<p>      The writ petition is allowed as above.
