It is stated in the application<br \/>\n\tthat in exercise of the powers under the Gujarat Electricity<br \/>\n\tIndustry (Re-organization and Regulation) Act, 2003, the Government<br \/>\n\tof Gujarat has reorganized the Gujarat Electricity Board and the<br \/>\n\tfunctions, assets, liabilities and proceedings of the said Board<br \/>\n\tstand transferred  to different Corporate entities including the<br \/>\n\tpresent applicant.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tIn accordance with the<br \/>\n\tabove and by virtue of the statutory orders issued by the Government<br \/>\n\tof Gujarat, the functions of the Gujarat Electricity Board including<br \/>\n\tits assets, liabilities and proceedings specified in Schedules to<br \/>\n\tthe Transfer Scheme stand transferred from the Gujarat Electricity<br \/>\n\tBoard to the applicant &#8211; Company. The applicant has,<br \/>\n\ttherefore, succeeded to the Gujarat Electricity Board in respect of<br \/>\n\tthe functions, assets and proceedings specified in the Schedule to<br \/>\n\tthe Transfer Scheme and the Gujarat Electricity Board has ceased to<br \/>\n\thave any of the functions which have been transferred to the<br \/>\n\tapplicant &#8211; Company. The applicant is, therefore, required to<br \/>\n\tbe substituted in place of Gujarat Electricity Board and hence, this<br \/>\n\tapplication.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tConsidering the<br \/>\n\taverments made in the application, the prayer made in this<br \/>\n\tapplication is granted. The applicant is permitted to amend the<br \/>\n\tcause-title of the petition. Amendment to be carried out forthwith.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tWith this, the<br \/>\n\tapplication stands disposed of.\n<\/p>\n<p>[<br \/>\nK. A.
