{"id":189334,"date":"2011-07-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-07-10T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/lal-mandal-vs-the-state-of-bihar-on-11-july-2011"},"modified":"2017-04-10T10:52:10","modified_gmt":"2017-04-10T05:22:10","slug":"lal-mandal-vs-the-state-of-bihar-on-11-july-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legalindia.com\/judgments\/lal-mandal-vs-the-state-of-bihar-on-11-july-2011","title":{"rendered":"Lal Mandal vs The State Of Bihar on 11 July, 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"docsource_main\">Patna High Court &#8211; Orders<\/div>\n<div class=\"doc_title\">Lal Mandal vs The State Of Bihar on 11 July, 2011<\/div>\n<pre>                      IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT PATNA\n                           Criminal Miscellaneous No.19637 of 2011\n                                        LAL MANDAL\n                                            Versus\n                                    THE STATE OF BIHAR\n\n2   11-07-2011<\/pre>\n<p>            Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as<\/p>\n<p>                 learned counsel for the state.\n<\/p>\n<p>                          Allegedly, two motorcycles were seized by the<\/p>\n<p>                 informant near the shop of one, Bechan Giri and 15 puriyas<\/p>\n<p>                 Ganja were recovered from the dicky of motorcycle bearing<\/p>\n<p>                 registration No. DL-598\/9832 and the petitioner was arrested<\/p>\n<p>                 from the place where the aforesaid motorcycles were<\/p>\n<p>                 recovered.\n<\/p>\n<p>                          The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is<\/p>\n<p>                 that the petitioner was arrested by the police on mere suspicion<\/p>\n<p>                 and as a matter of fact, the petitioner does not have any affairs<\/p>\n<p>                 with the seized motorcycles and moreover, the weight of seized<\/p>\n<p>                 Ganja has not been given in the first information report.<\/p>\n<p>                          Taking into consideration the aforesaid facts and<\/p>\n<p>                 circumstances as well as submission of the parties, let the<\/p>\n<p>                 petitioner, namely, Lal Mandal be released on bail on furnishing<\/p>\n<p>                 bail bonds of Rs 10,000\/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the<\/p>\n<p>                 like amount each in connection with G.O. Case No. 2 of 2011<\/p>\n<p>                 (Keoti P.S.
