However information has not been<br \/>\nreceived from PIO Director of Inquiries. The appellant states that this relates to a charge sheet of<br \/>\n2003and it is amazing that a charge sheet of 2003 is still being inquired into.<br \/>\n Decision:\n<\/p>\n<p>The Appeal is allowed.\n<\/p>\n<p>      PIO Director of Inquiries is directed to provide the information to the appellant<br \/>\nbefore 20 July 2010.\n<\/p>\n<p>The issue before the Commission is of not supplying the complete, required information by the<br \/>\nPIO Director of Inquiries within 30 days as required by the law.<br \/>\nFrom the facts before the Commission it is apparent that the PIO is guilty of not furnishing information<br \/>\nwithin the time specified under sub-section (1) of Section 7 by not replying within 30 days, as per the<br \/>\nrequirement of the RTI Act.\n<\/p>\n<p>It appears that the PIO&#8217;s actions attract the penal provisions of Section 20 (1). A showcause notice is<br \/>\nbeing issued to him, and he is directed give his reasons to the Commission to show cause why penalty<br \/>\nshould not be levied on him.\n<\/p>\n<p>PIO Director of Inquiries will present himself before the Commission at the above address on 29 July<br \/>\n2010 at 2.30pm alongwith his written submissions showing cause why penalty should not be imposed<br \/>\non him as mandated under Section 20 (1).
