RAMKUMAR, J.\n\n                            * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *\n\n                             Bail Application NO. 838 of 2007\n\n                            * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *\n\n                    Dated, this the   13th day of   February   2007\n\n\n                                               ORDER\n<\/pre>\n<p>        Petitioner  who  is   the  2nd  accused  in  Crime   No.     190   of  2006   of  Varkala<\/p>\n<p>Police Station for an offence punishable under Section 489 B and C I.P.C.  seeks<\/p>\n<p>his enlargement on bail.  He was arrested on  4-1-2007.\n<\/p>\n<p>        2.       The learned Public Prosecutor opposed the application.\n<\/p>\n<p>        3.       The case of the prosecution is that   on 28-3-2006 the first accused<\/p>\n<p>remitted a sum  of Rs.2,00,000\/-      in the Varkala Branch  of the  State  Bank of<\/p>\n<p>Travancore.  Out of the said amount 30 notes  of Rs. 500\/- denominations were<\/p>\n<p>found to be fake     notes.   The first accused was arrested by the police and he<\/p>\n<p>confessed  that  the   notes  were  given  to him   by  the   petitioner  who  is the     2nd<\/p>\n<p>accused in this case.  The petitioner was arrested on  4-01-2007.  His statement<\/p>\n<p>to the effect that he got the notes from his sister, was found to be false.\n<\/p>\n<p>        4.       Investigation of the case is still in the preliminary stage.  Police are<\/p>\n<p>probing   into     the   ramification   of   the   racket,   if   any,   and   the     source     of   the<\/p>\n<p>counterfeit  currency.  If at this stage of investigation, the petitioner is released<\/p>\n<p>on   bail,     he   will   taper   with   the   investigation   of   the   case.     Accordingly,   this<\/p>\n<p>application is dismissed.\n<\/p>\n<p>                                                                     V.
