Chandregowda-Appellant<\/p>\n<p>                                           DECISION<\/p>\n<p>      This appeal was taken up for hearing on 24.10.2008, which was attended<br \/>\nby the concerned Branch Manager from the respondent-bank, ie. Vijaya Bank,<br \/>\nAldur. The appellant has also attended the hearing. After going through the RTI<br \/>\napplication and other replies received in the matter and after hearing the parties,<br \/>\nthe matter is disposed of as under:\n<\/p>\n<p>       The appellant has sought information under RTI Act by his letter dated<br \/>\n5.12.2007 addressed to the Branch Manager, Vijaya Bank, Aldur Branch,<br \/>\nChikmagalur, Karnataka requesting information pertaining to loan amount. He<br \/>\ndid not receive any reply and hence he approached the State Commission and<br \/>\nafter their advice filed this complaint before this Commission on 3.3.2007. The<br \/>\nonly information the appellant has received is from the Advocate for the Bank<br \/>\ninforming him that as amount is still due and there is a decree in his name which<br \/>\nhas been filed in the court of civil judge, Chikmagalur and he has to make<br \/>\npayment since some outstanding amount is still standing in his account and<br \/>\ntherefore advised him to settle the outstanding amount. As far as the loan<br \/>\napplication is concerned it is for the Bank to follow its own procedure for<br \/>\nrecovering the loan. The only point at issue is the CPIO has not provided any<br \/>\nreply to his application dated 5.12.2007 till date and therefore I direct the PIO to<br \/>\ngive a point-wise reply to his application within 15 days and he is also directed to<br \/>\nshow-cause why penalty cannot be imposed on him under section 20(1) of the<br \/>\nRTI Act and he should forward his explanation within 15 days from the date of<br \/>\nreceipt of this decision. While giving reply he should give the particulars of first<br \/>\nAA. As far as the appellant is concerned, if he has taken some loan and if he is<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hidden_text\">                                                1<\/span><br \/>\n requesting the details about the loan particulars he is entitled from the Bank. In<br \/>\ncase if he is requesting for waiving of the loan, this Commission has no<br \/>\njurisdiction in this regard. This should be noted by the appellant.
