No. PBC\/08\/241\n                                                                   July 29, 2008\n\n         In the matter of Right to Information Act, 2005 - Section 18\n\nAppellant:         Mr. Santhosh Gajanan Bhat\n\nPublic authority: State Bank of Mysore\n                  AGM &amp; CPIO\n\n                                    DECISION\n\n       The appellant has sought information under RTI Act by his letter dated\n26.12.2007 addressed to Asstt. General Manager, State Bank of Mysore at\nBangalore requesting certain information pertaining to collection of service\ncharges for selling stamps papers through State Bank of Mysore branches and\nin this connection he has requested for the guidelines issued by the Reserve\nBank of India. Since the appellant has not received reply he has filed this\ncomplaint before the Karnataka Information Commission on 29.01.2008.\nThis has been duly forwarded by the Karnataka Information Commission on\n2.2.22008 to this Commission.\n\n2.     Comments were called for by the Commission on 13.05.2008 which\nwas received from CPIO, State Bank of Mysore on 4th June 2008. In the\ncomments he has indicated the application dated 26.12.2007 was replied by\nhis office on 22.01.2008 and he has also enclosed the photocopies of the\nspeed post receipt issued by the post office. In the appeal it is quite possible\nthat the appellant has filed complaint before the Karnataka Information\nCommission and this reply might have crossed on account of which he has\nnot made any comments about the letter dated 22.01.2008. It is, therefore,\nadvised the appellant may go through the reply given by the CPIO on\n22.01.2008 and in case if he is not satisfied with the information he is at\nliberty to file an appeal before the first AA. The CPIO has also furnished the\nparticulars of first AA. It is also presumed since the appellant has not made\nany mention of this letter along with this decision a copy of this letter is also\n                                         1\n enclosed for his ready reference.
