I would request that action in the matter should be expedited and construction initiated at once.\n<\/p>\n<p>\tIn the Moothakunnam-Edappilly sector of National Highway-17 land was acquired 25 years ago to widen the road. In this sector also, construction activity should be taken up at the earliest. While acquiring land, the land owners, tenants and shopkeepers should be given adequate compensation. On National Highway-47 the bridge over Chalakudy river is in a very dangerous and dilapidated condition.
